The food here was inexpensive, but very basic and not exceptional in any way. The service was extremely poor. Had to chase down the waitress multiple times, and the atmosphere was very basic. It was a regrettable experience, and I would not go there again.

Unpretentious low priced cafe open at night...hidden away in the courtyard behind St James Church. Homestyle Latvian and European meals and snacks (menu translated to English and Russian) and hallelujah the music isn't blaring loud. I returned the next night and had this excellent karbonade served with a stunning amount of vegetables!

Unfortunately we chose to eat dinner at Runci and we’re very disappointed. The menu was incredibly basic, (AKA boring). We decided to give it a try, but wish we would’ve left before ordering food.Service was very lacking, as we had to look for our server to close out our bill. Also we watched boxes of frozen food be delivered while we were there, which was disappointing.The homemade potato chips were good and clearly made in house, which is why I’m giving 2 stars.The atmosphere was incredibly basic and uncomfortable.

Quiet yard in the middle of old city. Got my lunch on street table with great atmosphere around. Lunch cost made me more happier

Not touristic or fashionable place, but I love it! Great place to have traditional Latvian food and beer in the city centre. Amazing location, simple interior, nice rock music. Could be quite more clean though)

The staff was kind enough to help us out with a lost dog, they gave him water and a bit of food. I will definitely visit again to try out their food!

Possibly one of the oldest continuously running bars in Rīga, certainly going back to the last century. It's very spartan, but fully functional and the kitchen seems good.
