This is the place if you like abstract art, if not dont even waste your time and money. The art gallery is very modern and the location in historic old building adds more charm. For me the only dissapointment was that there is only 6 Rothko paintings out of 800+ total paintings. But i get it, if your paintings cost millions then make more sense that art galleries in London, Paris, NY has more of them.

Good modern art museum in 200 years old building. Exhibition of Mark Rothko original paintings is small, but worth it. It is not allowed to make the pictures of original Rothko paintings, but you can take a brochure with pictures. Also other artists works can be found in the museum.Greetings from Vilnius.

A very interesting art exhibition space with beautiful collections of modern art. Located inside the historical city fortress which offers a lovely walk in itself.

Marka Rotko centrā atpūsties no garāka ceļa un labi paēst pusdienas par pieņemamu cenu var kafejnīcā Arsenāls, kas atrodas galvenajā ēkā un ir savienota ar ieeju uz izstādēm caur iekštelpām. Pieejams plašs, interesants piedāvājums.

Wonderful little museum with interesting exhibitions running concurrently! The limited Rothko collection is the only damper! Also walk over to the Martinsons museum and view the international collection of ceramics there! The Accomodatipn upstairs is wonderful too Great rooms and pantry facilities.

We came here to see Rothko's paintings but diacovered that the exhibition of his works is quite small (7 paintings in total). Nonetheless, the museum was worth the trip. It houses other abstract expressionists as well as a ceramics exhibition. The museum itself is located in a fort so there are other sights to see as well.

A beautiful art gallery in a stunning location in Daugavpils fort that is being restored even now. The exhibitions change regularly. We visited the gallery on the hottest day this year, but it was lovely and cool inside the historic walls. We also had lunch in the adjacent cafe/restaurant. Compliments to the chef - we had starters and mains, and everything was really fresh and delicious. The selection is wide and would suit any diet.

Ļoti labi iekārtotas ekspozīcijas. Muzejs nav par lielu un arī nav par mazu. Atsaucīgi darbinieki, viss tīrs un glīts. Ļoti patika. Paldies!

Google seems to describe this museum as a hotel. It's not.A nice but very small tribute to the artist.The staff at the entrance were a bit snooty though.

Nekas nav sakāms par mākslas centru, bet viesnīca bija forša!!! Bijam ekskursija uz Latgali un šī bija musu pedeja nakšņošanas vieta. Tikai maz vietas protams un mums ar ģimeni bija jāsadala 2 numuri bet nekadigi nesūdzos!
