Ecologically, economically and aesthetically impressive! Just three years ago three young men in this remote village in Latvia decided to start producing wood-wool panels. The plant is built of timber and recycled bricks, and today provides employment for nearly one hundred local people. When we visited Jaunlaicene, in the extreme north-east of the country, we found sustainable technology in “the middle of nowhere” creating both jobs and a product that is attractive from all perspectives. Wood-wool panels are a sustainable product made from wood slivers and a mineral cement, combining insulating properties with outstanding acoustic characteristics. They look good and smell good. They are sustainable and environmentally sound. Why do others exploit cheap labour thousands of miles away to market ugly products that pollute our environment? As Cewood shows, there are alternatives. Bravo!

Забирал отсюда груз, древесноволокнистые плиты. Организация серьёзная, погрузочная площадка большая, без средств защиты из машины выходить нельзя. Погрузили быстро, документы приносят прямо к машине. Есть кофейный автомат в беседке, цена копейки. Положительные впечатления.
