Memorial Site of 1941 Jewish Victims

I'm so very disappointed. We went there to pay my respects today on our way to Riga. Searched through the part of the forest marked by Google maps, but couldn't find it. I wish there was something on the side of the road marking a spot in some way. So sad that we couldn't see it. May their souls rest in peace.

Not a review but my mum witnessed this event. She told me when she was a little girl 9 years old she saw the people being marched into the forest then she heard gunfire. Later she ventured in the forest and saw the mass grave. She made a cross from some sticks and placed them on the grave with some flowers. She told her mum and she was upset and told her to be more careful. They both cried because they lost close friends. My mum was especially sad as there was a boy the same age as her she used to play with who was one of the victims.

Besides the headstone, there's not much else to see.
