My beautiful home, away from home!!!A beautiful hotel and unique, how it brings history and old, elegant style together with it´s old furniture, the walls, the ceiling... and not forgetting the old radios (who work), and the sound brings you further back - an amazing feeling.- Friendly- Open- Happy- Humble- Clean- CozyI am staying here for three months as a student in Riga, what a beautiful home and the family I gain as well, while I am here. The staff and owners are welcoming and friendly, they are always ready to assist no matter what I am looking for, learning or need.Hotel Janne, is very beautifully renovated, where history and comfort go together, where a warm atmosphere is a key priority.My room is warm and cozy, the bed is really good and the bathroom. I really feel grateful for finding them and I am convinced that I will enjoy my stay here until Christmas.It´s easy to take a bus to the old town and taxi is just on the corner, and is always available. I feel very secure here and also in the area, where there are beautiful parks and walks. The hotel is quiet and the nights as well, so good rest and rechargingone´s batteries/energy" is perfect here.Thank you

No real issues, had to stay for 1 night, receptionist was kind :)

I had a single room, it was clean and cozy. Can't say the view outside my window was anything spectacular, since my room was under ground level. The bathroom was alright, though the fact that there was no obstacle between the shower and the bathroom meant there was water everywhere, constantly. The shower floor also, was a bit too slippery. Other than that, everything went great. The staff was very kind and eager to help. Ask for Arta if you don't speak Latvian.

Good hotel, quiet location is a big plus. Staff is friendly and the receptionist is nice and helpful. Rooms are very clean, but there is some specific kind of stink, not that pleasant. It also could be a bit cheaper for what you get here. There is nothing blocking the water from shower to access the other areas of the bathroom...

If you don't speak Russian don't do it. Very unscrupulous manager. Shady actors.. Foreign students don't be fooled it's like Hotel California. I am still awaiting my 275 euro deposit months after you were give 30 days notice. You had the unmitigated gall to keep the 100 euro cleaning deposit. I must have brought the spiders in my suitcase. Liars.

Good location but hotel definitely needs some renovation. Overall place is worth the money. Could be loud during the night due to the busy street next by.

Bija patīkami apmeklēt šo viesnīcu, mums pastāstīja par viesnīcas bitēm un izrādīja viesnīcu. Numuriņi bija skaisti un mājīgi, viesnīca ar savu personību, ļoti interesanti.. Personāls arī laipns un atsaucīgs, viss kā vajag, iesaku! Arī medus kuru tur pārdod ir ļoti gards!

Room had a smell, beds were exceptionally hard, very limited breakfast menu. Friendly staff.

They promise to take care of you and they come through on their promise. I found the Hotel Janne to be welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast was a bargain considering the variety included. My room had some bonus amenities including a refrigerator and little kitchenette. If you would like a fruit basket in your room for arrival, be sure to let the front desk know a day or more in advance. I'd recommend staying here for anyone traveling through Riga.
