This museum is just across the Russian Embassy. And it's squeezing 100% of its location potential by hanging a huge putin poster on the wall, just opposite to the embassy. Love the idea that the embassy service have to watch everyday and can't do anything about it. Way to go Latvia, you made my day!

One of the best museums I’ve ever toured. It was a fantastic science museum. Cheap ticket price and was worth every euro. It’s worth the price itself just to see the 2 headed dog. My only complaint and as to why this is 4 stars as to 5; is that the layout was a little confusing and the staff was a little rude and not very accommodating. Wouldn’t let that stop you from going! A must see in Riga.

Very informative and quiet. Some installations are missing English translations, but it is still very interesting to view.I don’t think it’s wheelchair accessible as it has a lot of stairs.Would definitely recommend to visit it at least once

Superīga ekspozīcija. -1 zvaigzne par āra plakātu. Kāds muzejam sakars ar politiku? ...lai pārējā pasaule jūk prātā, muzejs ir vēsture.

very interesting pieces on exposition, but doesn't feel coherent - every single room looks like a completely different museum, one room looks like a modern art museum, the next like a horror house which also applies to English annotations. Sometimes they're there, sometimes you just have to guess what something is because the only description is in Latvian. Still recommended.

This place is awesome! Absolutely worth a visit. Not all of the displays have English language translations but most do. If you're interested in the history of medicine or space travel you will definitely want to see this place but really...I'm not necessarily really interested in either one of those things and still loved the museum. They obviously put a lot of time and money into making it nice.

Interesants muzejs ar daudziem eksponātiem. Domāju, ka šo ir vērts apmeklēt, kaut vai lai iepazītu kā medicīna ir attīstījusies tās neilgajā vēsturē.

A comprehensive look at medicine through time starting from Renaissance and ending with twentieth century. Although many exhibits were local and Russian all the usual suspects were covered, Pasteur, Koch, Lister, Harvey and Pare. Good dental section and the biology and space travel was an impressive surprise. Only down part is no guidebooks though English translation is available near each exhibit. It's a bit out of main Riga but public transport is available, yet often overcrowded and not on time.

A must visit if in Riga. The most eclectic collection of medical equipment along with an insight into Soviet museums of the 50s. Must see the dog with two heads, the dog that went to space and one of Pavlov’s dogs.Incidentally, the museum is just across the road from the Russian embassy!
